FORT WALTON BEACH – A man who was making “furtive movements” was arrested for cocaine possession, according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.
On Feb. 15 a deputy stopped a blue Chevrolet pickup truck at the intersection of Gibson Road and Fetting Avenue. During the stop the de-fendant, 28-year-old Keyon Cooper of Mary Esther, got out of the right rear passenger seat and walked to the front of the pickup. A deputy noticed him making “furtive movements,” he wrote in the arrest report. He was ordered back into the truck.
Deputies then found a bag of cocaine weighing about 9 grams, another bag containing 23.5 grams, and a digital scale on the ground in front of the vehicle.
Cooper was charged with possession of cocaine and has a March 26 court date.
