FORT WALTON BEACH – Lawmen say a man who couldn’t find money in a jacket as promised reacted by pushing his girlfriend into a chair, then throwing her into a wall.
On Feb. 16 the two began to argue about money, according to an Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office arrest report. The woman told the 44-year-old man there was money in a jacket pocket, but when the man looked he couldn’t find any. He then pushed her into a chair and threw her against a wall.
The two, who’ve been dating for four months, live at a Yorktown Circle residence in Fort Walton Beach.
The woman had a small cut on her nose and another on her lip.
The man was charged with battery. His court date is March 5.
