Report: Drunk woman tried to kick in man's door

NICEVILLE – A woman is accused of trying to kick in a man’s door and breaking windows at his residence, lawmen say.

The 42-year-old Niceville woman allegedly went to a man’s residence on McKinney Street and kicked the door and broke two windows. The man told Niceville Police officers he told the woman not to come over because she’d been drinking, but she came over anyway.

The woman told a police officer that yes, she’d been drinking, but that both she and the man were kicking the door, and the man broke one of the windows. The officer noted he could smell alcohol on the woman’s breath.

The man’s door was damaged from the outside and officers said it appeared somebody had tried to kick it in. Glass was both inside and outside the residence. The woman had cuts on her hands and was bleeding, but refused medical treatment.

She was charged with criminal mischief and disorderly intoxication, both misdemeanors. Her plea date is Jan. 14.
