NICEVILLE – An 82-year-old woman was arrested after she threw a set of car keys at her daughter, according to Niceville Police.
The woman was under the influence of prescription medication and wanted to drive a car, according to an arrest report. Her daughter and her husband called police to keep her from driving, and the woman threw her keys at her daughter. An officer witnessed the incident.
The officer said that after she threw the keys, she placed her hands behind her back and asked the officer, “What, are you gonna cuff me now?”
The report didn’t say if she were cuffed, but she was charged with misdemeanor battery and has a Jan. 7 plea date.
