FORT WALTON BEACH – A man caught his nephew trying to steal a flat screen TV from the apartment they shared. His reward was a thrashing from the nephew, according to a report.
The two were living at an apartment on Lewis Street. When the uncle tried to stop 27-year-old Trevor Joseph Coulter from making off with the 32-inch TV, Coulter struck him several times in the face and neck. He then knocked his uncle to the ground.
The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s deputy who investigated the incident noted the uncle had an abrasion on his right shin, but didn’t know if it was a result of the attack.
Coulter was charged with battery – one prior conviction, and grand larceny. His court date is Oct. 29.
