FORT WALTON BEACH – A homeless man didn’t want to cooperate with deputies when they tried to roust him from a Pocahontas Drive address.
For that, he got arrested.
An Okaloosa County Sheriff’s deputy reported the 25-year-old man refused to come out from behind a chair where he was hiding. When the deputy tried to pull the chair away, the man held onto the chair, using it to block the deputy.
As the chair was pulled away, the man refused to get up from a seated position and turn around. His muscles went tense, then after he was handcuffed he went limp and refused to walk. He also began banging his head against a car window.
The report didn’t say why deputies sought the man in the first place.
He was charged with misdemeanor obstruction and has an Oct. 15 plea date.
