Hungry boyfriend cooks up girlfriend's wrath

FORT WALTON BEACH – Police arrested a woman who allegedly attacked her fiancé after he fussed at her about having no dinner.

The incident occurred July 20 at a Destin Drive residence, Fort Walton Beach Police say. An officer was told by the apparent victim and his attacker’s father that the couple had been drinking when they got into a fight about there being no food to eat and the woman started punching him.

The woman’s father said their fighting woke him up. He came out of his room and saw his daughter striking the man in his chest and arms.

The woman told officers her fiancé was drunk and became angry when he couldn’t find the dinner she was supposed to have left for him. She said she’d just taken a sleeping pill and was angry he’d awakened her. She admitted hitting him.

She was charged with domestic violence. Her plea date is Aug. 6.
