Man uses homosexual, racial epithets against cops

CRESTVIEW – A man accused of running around a fast-food parking lot screaming at people responded with homosexual and racial epithets when confronted by Crestview Police officers.

On June 21 lawmen were called to the McDonalds on Ferdon Boulevard to deal with a 28-year-old homeless man who was running around the parking lot and screaming at people.

They found him at an adjacent business complex. The officers could smell a strong odor of alcohol on his breath and said his eyes were bloodshot and watery.

When officers told him why they were talking to him, “the defendant became verbally aggressive and shouted expletives of a homosexual nature towards the other officer and I and racial slurs towards the other officer which were in hearing distance of the employees of the restaurant and to the general public,” the officer wrote in the arrest report.

The man was charged with disorderly intoxication. His plea date was not available.
