DESTIN – A surly customer being escorted from a bar attacked the bouncer and had to be Tased into submission by an Okaloosa County Sheriff’s deputy, according to a report.
The man, who is 21 years old and weighs 210 pounds, was at the Lower Alabama Lounge on Feb. 17 when an employee told him to leave. The report didn’t say why. The man refused and was escorted out of the bar.
As he was being directed outside, the man suddenly tackled the employee, knocked him to the floor, bit him on the arm and punched him several times.
A deputy tried to intervene and while the man acknowledged the deputy’s presence, he refused to stop punching the bouncer. The deputy Tased him.
The man was charged with battery, trespassing and resisting an officer without violence.
His court date is March 5.
