DESTIN — The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has identified a 57-year-old man who was killed Monday night in a trailer fire.
Kenneth Dale Davis died when the single-wide trailer at 315 Sibert Ave. caught fire about 9 p.m. Destin Fire Department Battalion Chief James Taylor said about 80 percent of the trailer already had been destroyed when firefighters arrived.
Davis’ body and the body of his dog were found inside after the fire was put out, Taylor said.
Deborah Jamieson with the state Fire Marshal’s Office said the fire caused about $5,000 in damage. She said the cause of the blaze is being investigated.
“It’s impossible to assign a time on when we’ll know anything because every fire is so different,” Jamieson said.
