MILTON - Santa Rosa County sheriff's deputies are investigating an increase in daytime burglaries throughout the county over the last few months.
The burglaries had the same MO: doors were kicked in and specific items were stolen during similar times of the day, according to the Sheriff's Office.
On Jan. 14, a tip about a Navarre burglary gave deputies a description of a possible suspect’s vehicle. A deputy in Midway found the dark blue 2002 Grand Prix and tried to stop it. A pursuit began, but was stopped when the Grand Prix approached a school safety zone in Gulf Breeze.
The vehicle was found later and the driver with several warrants was identified, the Sheriff’s Office reported. Several burglary suspects were identified.
Arrested are expected soon, according to the Sheriff's Office.
