Man faces armed robbery charges

CRESTVIEW - A man was arrested Tuesday on a warrant for charging him with being a principal to an armed robbery with a firearm and a principal to an aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, according to police.

Michael Tirrell White, 30, of Crestview, made arrangements to sell 2 pounds of marijuana to three victims for $6,100 on Dec. 12, according to his arrest report. When the victims met White at an apartment complex on Field and Amos streets, they were attacked by White and two unknown men.

One victim was shot in the foot and another was pistol-whipped by the two unknown men. The third person was uninjured.

The men stole several items from the victims, including a pack of Black and Mild cigars and a cell phone.

On Dec. 20, several tips were reported to police that White was the person who set up the robbery, his arrest report stated.
