The Panhandle Butterfly House is looking for tour guides to help visitors gain a better understanding of the flying insect.

Tour guides will be trained volunteers who are responsible for leading groups of primarily children on school field trips on Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays for two to three hours at a time.

New tour guides are teamed with experienced volunteers. All prospective guides must complete a training course.

The class size is limited to ensure individual attention and training. Advanced registration is required.

The next training class is from 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 23 at the Panhandle Butterfly House at 8581 Navarre Parkway in Navarre Park just west of the Navarre Bridge.

For more information about becoming a tour guide or to register for an upcoming training class, email grouptours@panhandlebutterflyhouse.org or go to www.panhandlebutterflyhouse.org.
