CRESTVIEW – A man and a woman got into an argument over bills, according to a Crestview Police Department arrest report. The man allegedly made a “karate chop” motion at the woman, who became fed up and walloped him with a wooden spoon and then her fists, the report said.
When an officer arrived at the James Street residence he found the man with fresh blood coming from his nose and several scratches on his face. The man said his live-in girlfriend and mother of his two children attacked him during an argument about bills.
The woman agreed they were arguing over bills. She said the man made a “karate chop” motion at her face “like he always does,” and she’d had enough and “popped” him in the face several times with a wooden spoon until the handle broke. Then she punched him in the face at least three times.
She was charged with battery. Her plea date is Jan. 7.
