Officers sees woman punch man driving vehicle

FORT WALTON BEACH – A 50-year-old woman was arrested after she clobbered her boyfriend and his sister, lawmen say.

The woman, who lives in Crestview, was seen by a Fort Walton Beach Police officer smacking the driver of the car she was riding in. The officer pulled over the car to halt the violence, but it happened anyway, he wrote in the arrest report.

The driver told the officer the woman was his current girlfriend. He didn’t say what she was angry about, but he said she was “highly intoxicated” and was “going (deleted) crazy.”

The officer spoke with the driver’s sister, who was crying and had a scratch and swelling on her face. She said she didn’t want to press charges but she did complete a written statement of events.

The woman was charged with battery. Her court date was unavailable.
