NICEVILLE – A man and a woman were found in a car with marijuana and drug equipment, according to a Niceville Police Department offense report.
An officer was summoned to Yacht Club Drive and Rana Lane after receiving a report of a suspicious vehicle. The caller said the car had parked on the side of the road and the driver had turned out the lights and had been sitting there a long time. When the officer approached the vehicle she noticed “the windows were fogged and the vehicle was moving.”
She found a man and woman in the car who were “putting articles of clothing on,” the report indicated. As the two searched for their IDs, the officer noticed an odor of marijuana coming from inside. She asked if they had just smoked and the man said they had a few hours earlier. The man also denied having drugs in the car and admitted to only a pipe being present.
The officer found a couple of clear bags containing a green, leafy substance in the driver’s side door. She also found a pipe with some kind of residue on it.
When the officer called for backup, she noticed the woman kicking something under the car. When the officer inspected the area she found two bags containing the same kind of material as the other bags.
When backup arrived officers searched the car and found a syringe and a spoon, plus more pipes, two bongs, a grinder and a “plethora of small clear bags.” They were all confiscated.
The offense report did not indicate if the man and woman were arrested or will face charges. None were listed on the report, and a check of court records did not indicate charges had yet been filed.
