CRESTVIEW — The funeral for Crestview Police Lt. Arthur K Buckner will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Central Baptist Church.
The 16-year-veteran of the city police department was found dead in his home Nov. 25 from an apparent suicide.
His family has asked that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Foundation, according to a Crestview Police press release.
No foul play is suspected in Buckner’s death, but the incident remains under investigation, according to an earlier statement by Crestview Police Chief Tony Taylor.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is conducting the investigation and more details will be released once it is completed, Taylor said.
Lt. Arthur Buckner, who was in his early 40s, started as an officer with the police department in 1998.
“We send our condolences to the family in this tragic time,” Taylor said. “Our hearts go out to them.”
