Emergency responders at scene of morning crash (PHOTOS)

FORT WALTON BEACH — Two people suffered minor injuries Friday morning in a two-vehicle wreck on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Commanche Street.

An SUV with one passenger pulled out of Commanche Street into the path of an oncoming vehicle around 7:30 a.m., according to Ocean City-Wright Deputy Chief Scott Funchess.

The four-door vehicle T-boned the SUV. The impact of the crash caused the SUV to rollover, landing on its roof.

Funchess said a woman and young man were in the SUV. They were taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center for minor injuries.

The other vehicle, a four-door car, also had two passengers. Neither were injured.

The wreck closed off one lane of northbound traffic for less than an hour while crews worked the scene.

Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. Ocean City-Wright Fire, Okaloosa EMS, Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office were at the scene.
