Crestview Police Department officers were called to a Crestview Apartment complex Aug. 31 after an argument turned physical.
A couple, who are dating, were sitting on the balcony arguing when the female leaned over and burned her boyfriend’s leg with a lit cigarette, according to her arrest report.
The victim said no threats of violence were made and his girlfriend burned him for no reason.
The suspect, who is 37, told officers nothing happened other than an argument but later said she flipped a lit cigarette in the victim’s direction, the report said. She said she didn’t think the cigarette hit him.
The officers charged her with battery and she has a Sept. 24 court date.
