Navarre residents are being asked to complete an online survey regarding the community’s needs, potential locations and funding options for a new community center in Navarre, according to a press release from Santa Rosa County.
Available at www.santarosa.fl.gov, the survey is a first step in collecting preliminary input from residents. The survey will be available until Saturday.
A public meeting to discuss the potential of a new community center was held July 22, and the survey reflects the questions identified as needing answers before the process moves forward.
A public meeting will be scheduled in the fall to discuss the results, gather additional input and discuss the next step.
A bid to purchase the former community center on Navarre School Road from the Navarre Area Board of Realtors was accepted by the board of commissioners at their June 13 meeting.
The previous community center did not have adequate parking or meeting space for the growing Navarre community.
