A 59-year-old Navarre woman died from injuries she suffered in a two-vehicle crash Thursday night.
Carmen Delia Morales-Perez died just before 2 a.m. Friday at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola following a head-on collision on U.S. Highway 98, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The driver of the other vehicle, Melody Rebeka Infinger, 29, of Cantonment, and her passenger, Heather Buck, 29 of Marcy, N.Y., both suffered minor injuries and also were taken to Baptist Hospital, the FHP reported.
Morales-Perez was driving east in the westbound lanes of U.S. 98 about 9:50 p.m. Thursday when she hit Infinger’s vehicle near Candlewood Drive, according to the FHP.
Everyone was wearing seat belts.
The accident was alcohol-related and the investigation is ongoing, according to the FHP.
