CRESTVIEW — A 37-year-old man was arrested Wednesday on charges of sexual battery on a child over 12.
Officials with the Crestview Police Department began an investigation on Jason Landon Pate of Northwiew Drive in May after a comlaintant made allegations of ongoing sexual abuse, according to a press release.
A search warrant was executed on Pate's home with assistance from the Walton County Sheriff's Office and Internet Crimes Against Children investigators. Enough evidence was found to warrant an arrest of Pate.
Pate is currently in custody at the Okaloosa County Jail.
