FORT WALTON BEACH - A man was sentenced to 11 years in prison Wednesday for touching a 13-year-old girl, according to the state attorney’s office.
Okaloosa County Circuit Judge John T. Brown also ruled that Samuel Edward Stephens II would be placed on sexual offender probation for three years and designated a sexual offender, the state attorney’s office reported.
Stephens touched the 13-year-old victim inside her skirt at a church event. He had made sexually explicit comments toward her beforehand, according to the state attorney’s office.
Stephens had been found guilty May 31 of one count of a lewd or lascivious act.
