NICEVILLE – A woman was arrested for punching her partner in the eye, Okaloosa County Sheriff’s deputies say.
On July 9 a deputy was routed to a Harding Road residence in response to a request for lawmen.
When the deputy arrived he heard an argument going on inside. A woman came out, and when the deputy asked what was going on she said, “I didn’t call y’all; ask him,” referring to the man who called 911. The man came outside while the woman went back inside and slammed the door.
The man said he and the woman were having an argument when he got mad and went into the bathroom, slamming the door. The woman became even angrier, opened the door and hit him in the eye.
The deputy noted the man’s eye was swollen.
The woman agreed with the man’s description of events.
The two have been together 10 years and have four kids.
She was charged with battery and has a plea date of July 30.
