VALPARAISO — Two men were arrested at a home on Carie Way on Wednesday morning for manufacturing methamphetamine.
A resident near the home called the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office concerned that there were illegal activities happening at 15 Carie Way, according to a press release.
Investigators found 36-year-old Travis Lucas in the home and later found 34-year-old Christopher Blair attempting to destroy evidence by dumping the hazardous materials down the sink.
Lucas, according to the release, told deputies he had methamphetamine but said he was not manufacturing the drug.
Evidence confirmed methamphetamine was being processed at the location. Investigators collected evidence, dismantled the laboratory and turned the hazardous chemicals over to a hazmat contractor.
The Drug Task Force Team is made up of law enforcement from the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, Niceville Police Department and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
