CRESTVIEW – A woman who became angry with her soon-to-be ex-husband’s new girlfriend faces charges after she vented her wrath on two Crestview Police officers, according to a report.
On May 6 officers went to a Wilks Street residence to investigate a child custody incident. There, they learned 32-year-old Christine Danielle Dipreta of Crestview was dropping off her daughter with the child’s father when she became involved in an argument with her husband’s new girlfriend.
Officers told Dipreta to leave the residence, the report indicated, but then suddenly she ran toward the girlfriend in what officers described as an attempt to hit her. The officers intervened, preventing an attack.
When Dipreta was told she was under arrest, she began kicking and elbowing the officers, they reported. They subdued her and took her to jail.
She is charged with battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest violence. Her court date is June 25.
