DESTIN — A 27-year-old man was arrested April 28 on charges of resisting an officer without violence and prowling.
According to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office arrest report, the Destin man was seen checking cars for unlocked doors. When the deputy shouted at the man to stop, he attempted to hide behind a vehicle and a tree.
The report said the man later appeared near a vehicle. He said he was looking for his bag in a friend’s car but could not provide the friend’s name, contact information or a description of his friend’s vehicle.
The man is scheduled to appear in court May 21.
