FORT WALTON BEACH — A 41-year-old man was taken to an area hospital after experiencing a medical problem and then driving into a garage on North Hampton Circle.
George K. Gore of Fort Walton Beach was driving westbound on North Hampton Circle around 6:10 p.m. Thursday when a witness said they saw his 1999 Jeep Wrangler hit a mailbox and go through the yard of a home at 321 North Hampton Circle, according to the Florida Highway Patrol press release.
The jeep continued moving forward and into the garage of the home at 323 North Hampton Circle, the report said. Witnesses at the scene said it appeared Gore was having medical issues when the crash occurred.
Gore suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash. He was taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center.
His vehicle sustained $4,000 in damages. A car parked in the garage, a 1992 Honda Accord, sustained $1,000 in damages and there was $10,000 in damages to 323 North Hampton Circle, the release said.
No charges will be filed against Gore, the report said.
