FORT WALTON BEACH - An Okaloosa County EMS ambulance was involved in a four-vehicle crash Tuesday night at Mary Esther Cut-Off and Wright Parkway.
It appeared the ambulance changed lanes and crashed into the rear of another vehicle about 7 p.m. That vehicle in turn caused a chain of crashes, said Capt. Gary Kruschke with the Fort Walton Beach Fire Department.
No patients were in the ambulance, Kruschke said.
Two EMS crewmembers and two people from one of the vehicles were taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center as a precautionary measure, he said.
