FORT WALTON BEACH – An 18-year-old female was arrested after she “went crazy” and attacked her ex-girlfriend, leaving a chair in the other woman’s car windshield and smashing her apartment window.
On March 29 a Fort Walton Beach Police officer went to a McFarlan Avenue apartment to check out a disturbance. When he arrived the officer heard screaming from inside the apartment and saw the front window had been broken, with glass covering the front porch.
The victim told the officer she picked up her ex-girlfriend, and on their way home the defendant “went crazy” and struck her on the head with a beer bottle. Then, she threw the beer bottle at the windshield, cracking it.
When they arrived at the apartment and parked the car, the 18-year-old began striking the other woman. She got out of the car, pulled the victim across the front seat and out of the car, then continued to beat and bite her, the report said. Several people from neighboring apartments came and held down the 18-year-old while the victim called lawmen.
The defendant then grabbed a chair from the front porch and smashed the car windshield, leaving the chair in the windshield.
The two had been in a relationship for about two years and had lived together the past six months. They had ended their relationship the day before.
The 18-year-old was charged with domestic violence and criminal mischief. Her court date is April 16.
