CRESTVIEW – A woman who was being sought on an outstanding warrant told a Crestview Police officer she wasn’t who he thought she was, that in fact she was her sister.
It was the tattoos that gave her away.
On March 22 an officer spotted the woman standing in front of a house on Washington Street. He pulled up next to her and called out, “Amanda.”
The woman replied, “I’m not Amanda. That’s my sister. I’m Michelle.”
The officer asked for her ID and she produced a driver’s license with a first name of “Michelle.”
The officer told her he still thought she was “Amanda,” and she continued to insist she was “Michelle” and she had dropped off “Amanda” at a house in Baker.
The officer called the probation and parole office and they told him “Amanda” had a tattoo of a rose on her right arm and butterfly on her lower back.
“Michelle” had these tattoos.
She was charged with obstruction by a disguised person and taken to jail. Her court date is April 9.
