SANTA ROSA BEACH - A 25-year-old woman was critically injured Friday night when she was hit by a vehicle while walking along U.S. Highway 98, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Natasha Pascoe of Santa Rosa was walking along the road near the median at 10:41 p.m. when she was hit by a westbound 2013 Toyota Sequoia driven by Timothy Eggena, 45, of Hamilton, Ga., the FHP reported.
Pascoe was taken to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola.
Pascoe was wearing dark clothes and Eggena told FHP troopers that he did not see her.
Charges are pending.
