FORT WALTON BEACH – A 37-year-old Freeport woman was arrested after lawmen found a marijuana roach in her bra, lawmen report.
On March 16 an Okaloosa County Sheriff’s deputy stopped a car on Lewis Turner Boulevard just south of Mooney Road after being told about a possible drunken driver. The deputy saw the driver failing to maintain a single lane and pulled her over.
The deputy determined the woman wasn’t drunk, but another deputy with a drug-sniffing dog conducted what the Sheriff’s Office calls a “free-air sniff” around the woman’s car. The dog alerted to the presence of narcotics.
Deputies searched the car and found a marijuana roach in the ashtray. They arrested the woman and she was searched. Another roach was found in the right cup of her bra, along with 14 grams of marijuana in her pants.
She was charged with marijuana possession not more than 20 grams. Her court date is April 2.
