DESTIN - An electrical short in an air conditioning unit sparked a fire in an apartment in Legacy on the Bay about 3 a.m. Thursday, according to the Destin Fire Department.
The apartment sustained about $40,000 in damage. No one was hurt.
South Walton firefighters assisted at the scene.
