SHALIMAR — A traffic shift to the west side of Eglin Parkway has been rescheduled to next week, according to the state Department of Transportation.
Crews also will close the intersection of Eglin and Sixth Avenue to continue work to replace the drainage system. Access to Sixth Avenue will resume when the work expected to be finished in March or April, a DOT news release said.
Access to businesses along Eglin will be maintained at all times, and two lanes of traffic will be open in each direction.
Left turns and U-turns will continue to be permitted only at the traffic signals at Shalimar Drive/Cherokee Road and Ninth Avenue/Erwin Fleet Road.
The construction schedule depends on the weather.
