FORT WALTON BEACH — A 61-year-old woman was charged with careless driving after crashing into four vehicles on Beal Parkway on Monday afternoon.
Margie Willett, 61, was driving south on Beal Parkway approaching U.S. Highway 98 about 12:30 p.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
She failed to see the line of cars stopped in the right hand turn lane in front of her, the FHP reported.

She crashed into the back of a pick-up truck, which severed her wheel. She continued forward, crashing into another pick-up truck and a car before skidding into eastbound U.S. 98.
Her severed wheel crashed into another car that was in the line of traffic.
Two people in the last car she hit were taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center with minor injuries, according to the FHP.
Damages to the four cars were about $24,000.
