Okaloosa County Public Safety Director Dino Villani will serve as the interim director of the county’s airports until a replacement is hired for outgoing Airports Director Greg Donovan, the county has announced.
Donovan is leaving in early March to become the director at Pensacola International Airport.
With County Administrator Jim Curry set to retire later this year, the hiring of a permanent airports director is expected to be a priority of the new county administrator, according to a news release from the county issued Friday.
Villani will divide his time between public safety and the airports.
