Alabama law officers had been investigating the alleged theft for more than two years. They got their first break in January after they located the missing items in a storage unit, according to a website for WAKA channel 8 in Montgomery.
The storage unit was purchased under a false name and was traced to Ledbetter, according to the website.
After reporting the thefts, Pittman filed a claim with his insurance carrier for the stolen items, the website stated.
Ledbetter was charged with receiving stolen property and Pittman was charged with theft of property.
Officers working the case in Alabama could not be reached for comment Wednesday.
