DEFUNIAK SPRINGS - A man was arrested Friday for the lewd and lascivious molestation of two victims under the age of 12, according to the Walton County Sheriff's Office.
The first victim told deputies in December that Hayward Paul Culpepper touched her inappropriately in 2011, Culpepper’s arrest report states.
During the investigation, a second victim came forward with a similar statement.
Culpepper, now 65, initially denied the allegations. During a second interview, he admitted to deputies and a polygraph examiner that he had sexual contact with the victims.
Culpepper was taken to the county jail on $1 million bond.
