Man allegedly trespasses in house, snubs officer

NICEVILLE – Officers are looking for a man who entered a woman’s house, refused to leave after being told five times to do so, then refused to meet with a police officer to give his statement.

The incident occurred at a 23rd Street residence, according to Niceville Police. The 27-year-old Valparaiso man allegedly entered the house and refused to leave, even after being ordered out five times by the woman who lived there. He left only after another woman at the residence called Niceville Police.

An officer spoke with the man via cell phone and set up a time to interview him and obtain his statement. The man never showed up and has refused all calls from the officer since.

The man faces a trespass charge and a Jan. 21 plea date.
