FORT WALTON BEACH - A 3-year-old boy was hospitalized Saturday after he was bit in the face by his father's dog, according to the Fort Walton Beach Fire Department.
Emergency crews responded to a home on Beachview Drive about 3:30 p.m. The child had about 10 bite marks on his face, Fort Walton Beach police said.
It was unclear what breed the dog was, only that it was large.
The child was taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center.
The dog was removed by the Panhandle Animal Welfare Society.
