FORT WALTON BEACH – A woman with outstanding warrants gave an Okaloosa County Sheriff’s deputy her sister’s name and other information, according to an arrest report.
The deputy was driving down Racetrack Road when he spotted the woman in a truck next to him. The deputy believed the woman had three outstanding warrants, and confirmed that information from the computer in his cruiser. He stopped the car and talked to the woman. She apparently gave him her sister’s name, birth date and Social Security number.
The deputy summoned another deputy to the scene who had had personal dealings with the woman for a positive ID.
She was charged with falsely identifying herself to a law enforcement officer and will appear before a judge on Jan. 7.
