Store robbed at gunpoint: 'I'm sorry, Merry Christmas'

NAVARRE — Officials are looking for a woman who robbed a Tom Thumb at gun point Monday evening.

The woman, described as Caucasian wearing a black cap, gloves and sunglasses, demanded cash from the cashier of the convenience store on U.S. Highway 87 around 6:30 p.m. holding a handgun.

The clerk complied and handed the woman the money. Before leaving, the woman told the clerk, "I'm sorry, Merry Christmas" and left the store, according to the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office press release.

The woman was in the store for about 15 seconds.

Deputies set up a perimeter with K9 units, but were not able to locate the woman.
