CRESTVIEW - A semitrailer transporting dry cement overturned on westbound Interstate 10 near mile marker 52 early Friday morning causing traffic delays until almost noon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Donna Jean Root, 68, of High Springs was heading west in a 2001 freight semi-trailer in the left lane of I-10 when the semitrailer ran off the roadway and into the median, the FHP crash report stated. The semitrailer came back onto the roadway and overturned onto its left side.
The truck's trailer full of dry cement also overturned, but the cement was contained.
Root was taken to North Okaloosa Medical Center with minor injuries.
One westbound lane was open during most of the incident, but the roadway was not fully reopened until 11:56 a.m., the FHP reported.
