DESTIN – A woman accused of shoplifting was also charged with drug possession after an Okaloosa County Sheriff’s deputy found pills in her purse.
According to an arrest report, 34-year-old Noelle Lance Wright of Choctaw Beach entered Luxe Apothetique on Legendary Drive and chose the following items:
- Drizy bracelet
- pearl drop earrings
- an oversized clutch
- a candle
Total value of the items was $128.
She then left the store without paying for any of the items, a Luxe employee told a deputy.
Wright’s purse was searched after she was detained and a deputy found two capsules that were identified as acetaminophen/oxycodone. Wright said she had a prescription for the pills but couldn’t produce it.
She was charged with petit larceny and possession of a controlled substance. Her court date is Jan. 7.
