CRESTVIEW — A local woman was cited with violation of right of way Thursday morning after causing a two-vehicle accident on State Road 85.
Angela M. Gilmore was driving southbound on SR 85 around 5 a.m. when she realized too late that a red light was in front of her at the intersection of North State Road 123, according to the Florida Highway Patrol press release.
Red Level, Ala., resident Dana M. Wyatt was turning onto SR 85 from the intersection and had the right side of her 1994 Lincoln town car by the front of Gilmore’s Volkswagen Beetle.
The impact of the wreck caused Gilmore’s car to overturn onto the roof. The Volkswagen sustained around $8,500 and the Lincoln sustained around $1,500, the release said.
Gilmore suffered minor injuries. Wyatt was not injured.
