The Mattie Kelly Arts Center Galleries kick off their 2013-2014 season with an exhibition that honors Northwest Florida State College’s ongoing 50th anniversary celebration.
The exhibit, “From the Vault: 50 Years of Collecting,” highlights the core collections that make up the NWF State College Permanent Collection, assembled over the five decades since the college’s founding as Okaloosa-Walton Junior College in 1963.
“From the Vault” will be on display in the both the McIlroy and Holzhauer Galleries and in the Art Wing Front Hall from September 6 to October 11.
The galleries are open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 90 minutes prior to most mainstage theater productions. Mattie Kelly Arts Center Gallery exhibitions are free of charge and open to the public. The galleries are located in the Art Wing of the fine and performing arts complex on the Niceville Campus at 100 College Boulevard,
The exhibit will also be on display for the college’s 50th Anniversary Gala on Saturday, October 12 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Contact the Mattie Kelly Arts Center Box Office at 729-6000 for tickets to this special event and the “This is The 60’s” national touring show which follows the Gala in the mainstage theater at 7:30 p.m.
