Boy Scouts will be raising money by selling popcorn across Northwest Florida for the next few weeks.
Pack 104 from Navarre will be among them. Glen Copeland says the boys are looking forward to donating popcorn directly to local troops again this year in addition to making their usual sales.
“It allows the boys who might not otherwise be able to participate to earn their own membership fees, pay for uniforms and activities and learn valuable skills at the same time,” he said. “Pretty amazing for first- through fifth-graders.”
Scouts will be at the following locations:
- Lowe’s in Fort Walton Beach from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Lowe’s in Gulf Breeze from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
- Bass Pro Shops in Destin starting at 5 p.m. Sept. 13
- Lowe’s in Gulf Breeze from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Wal-Mart in Navarre from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 14-15.
- Bass Pro Shops starting at 5 p.m. Sept. 27.
- The Panhandle Butterfly House in Navarre for Monarch Madness on Oct. 4-5.
