A California man and a woman with him have been arrested after an active “shake-and-bake” methamphetamine lab was found in their truck outside the CVS Pharmacy on Mary Esther Boulevard, according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.
Ray Callin Jr. and Aliceson Irwin are charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of marijuana, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
The discovery was made about 8 p.m. Tuesday after deputies responded to a report of a man passed out in a running truck parked outside the pharmacy, a Sheriff’s Office news release said.
Irwin, whose address was unknown, told deputies Callin had been cooking meth “all day” inside the truck, deputies reported.
She also told deputies they could find an “active one-pot methamphetamine cook” and remnants of an older one-pot cook, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies found those items and a small amount of marijuana in the truck.
Sheriff’s Sgt. Ron Kimble said the meth labs posed no threat to passing motorists and no effort was made to halt traffic in the area.
