PAXTON - Participants in an Outdoor Cannabis Investigations School/Aerial Detection School found $512,000 worth of marijuana off Flowersview Road on Thursday, according to the Walton County Sheriff's Office.
Officers from several local law enforcement agencies attended the class to learn to detect marijuana by aerial spotting and ground tactics, a Sheriff's Office news release said.
The 277 plants were pulled and taken to the Sheriff's Office to be destroyed.
There are no suspects at this time.
